Hotel Amstelzicht, a historic canal house built in 1659, sits on the famous Amstel Canal in the heart of the city centre. We are a privately-owned NON SMOKING 3-star hotel, with a friendly atmosphere and close to all the main tourist attractions.
A famous landmark, Hotel Amstelzicht is and one of the so-called, "three dancing houses".
Since we took over the hotel in August 2004, we have redecorated most of the 14 rooms and added a few apartments. Some of these rooms and apartments offer fantastic views over the canal. We have double, twin, triple, and family rooms. The apartments are self catering and can accommodate up to 4 persons.
 The rooms are all decorated with a personal touch. While each room is different, all of them offer the comfort and facilities you expect from a 3-star hotel, such as private bathroom, minibar, direct dail telephone, safe deposit box, hairdryer, and wireless internet. In addition to rooms with or without canal view.
Throughout the renovations that have taken place over the years, the historical features of the building have been preserved, such as the marble and ceiling ornaments in the main hallway, as well the steep stairway which is typical of an Amsterdam canal house from the 17th Century.
Located at Amstel 104, the hotel is at the beginning of the Amstel Canal, just 100 meters from the Munt Square and the Flower Market. The Rembrandt Square is just around the corner. The Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House are all within walking distance.
The hotel reception is open from 8 am until 10 pm. If you arrive before 8 am or after 10 pm, it's very important that you let us know your flight number and arrival time and we will be waiting to welcome you.
